B.E.S.T. Service Dogs
SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY
We have a special place in our hearts for children with autism and veterans with PTSD. We know first hand the struggles those individuals face.
Service dogs are life-changing for children with autism and veterans with PTSD. From fewer melt-downs and reduced anxiety, to companionship and stability—the benefits are overwhelming.
That’s why we work so hard to teach parents and veterans about how a dog can make a difference and how to get a service dog.
We work with organizations like Joyful Paws Service Dogs, an organization breeding and training puppies for those with psychiatric disabilities, and Paws for Purple Hearts, a non-profit organization that provides service dogs for active and veteran warriors.

THERAPY AND TRAINING
Along with breeding, we offer basic obedience classes and therapy dog training.
B.E.S.T Service Dogs provides obedience training for those who need extra help. We use only positive training methods established by Dr. Bonita Bergin of Bergin College of Canine Studies.
Puppies and dogs are trained to the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen standard. This standard comes in the form of a test and certificate from he AKC. Passing this test is a prerequisite for many therapy dog groups, and a beginning foundation for further training as a service dog.

WHAT WE DO
Making a Difference
B.E.S.T. Service Dogs mission is to help create independence for the recipients of our dogs and support that human/canine partnership. We serve these needs by providing puppies for autism and veteran partners, and through education and training. We make sure our partners are empowered by the human/canine bond!

BREEDING
Our main goal here at B.E.S.T. Service Dogs is to breed the best, healthiest Labrador Retrievers to have the best chance as successful service dogs. We test our breeding dogs through the Orthopedic Foundation Association and DNA test for any heritable Labrador diseases. Learn more about our work by getting in touch with our team today.

EDUCATION

With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for sharing recent research. The positive effects of a service dog and their training is something that we take very seriously and we work each and every day to educate the community on the benefits, challenges and regulation of service dogs. We follow the standards set through Bergin College of Canine Studies, a cutting edge educational experience, along with the guidelines set by the International Association of Assistance Dog Partners (IAADP).
