They sent us a gift of keys to give to the recipient of each puppy and we are featured on their website under The Unlock Happiness Program. |

FROM IDEA TO REALITY: THE EVOLUTION OF B.E.S.T. SERVICE DOGS
February 2019 We envisioned creating a non-profit organization that supports service dog organizations and the community after attending the Master's program at Bergin College of Canine Studies. Our research on how service dogs could help those affected by autism was our focus. Research into personality, behavior, function, breeding practices and outcomes helped to form what would become our non profit, B.E.S.T. Service Dogs. Four years later, after a lot of hard work, we became a reality. B for Breeding, E for education, S for Service and T for Therapy/Training. B.E.S.T. Service Dogs was born! |
1-ON-1 WITH B.E.S.T. SERVICE DOGS CEO
April 24, 2019 After 20 years of raising Labradors, I am so excited to be a part of changing peoples lives with these gentle and sensitive souls. As we engage in supporting autism partners and our nation's veterans, we also look to our community to see where we can be of help. By providing training or therapy, information and education on dogs and service, we believe that we are part of creating the independence needed for a better more inclusive life. As one recipient of one of our dogs says "our dog has changed all of our lives in ways we never thought possible!... And I love being able to go places confidently and see our son happy and calm because his dog is by his side". |
