For the first time in quite a while, we do not have a puppy at home! All our dogs are grown up and behaving like big dogs! But we miss their sweet faces and fun antics! 

In the meanwhile, before Joy is ready, we are all taking a puppy break. Raven is working as a therapy dog, Tucker is being, well Tucker (the world revolves around him and he can't handle not being right by my side), Starry is an angel and Sophie is doing really well at 13 and a half. She loves dinner time! lol. And Joy is being her goofy, beautiful self. 

We are hoping for a litter in 2025 with our Joy girl. She was such a wonderful mom to her earlier litter of 10!

Reina is doing great in Texas and super happy at Sunbuilt Retrievers. With this break I will try to follow up on all our placed puppies to see how they are doing.

B.E.S.T. had another successful litter of pups go out to wonderful homes this last month! It has been an honor to place our beautiful puppies to people who so desperately need them. And also to those who are replacing a beloved pet and those having a Labrador for the first time in their lives. They will never go back to another breed!
Right now, we have 6 sweet Labs living with us here at the Rancho, ranging from 11 months to 13 years of age.
I wanted to take this moment to thank you all for your support - physical, emotional and monetary! that helps this happen every year. So far, since we started this non-profit 8 years ago, we have placed 22 puppies in service dog training. I am proud of the people that have supported us and our pups over the years.

We have 2 pups that will be taking the place of beloved Labradors. Their owners are Vietnam veterans and the pup will be their service dog. Two pups are going to trainers to be owner-trained service dogs and one is replacing another beloved pet that has passed.

B.E.S.T. Service Dogs breeds Labradors for the perfect temperament as service dogs. We have placed over 20 puppies in service dog training over these last 10 years! As you may know, we focus on our veterans who suffer from PTSD and individuals on the autism spectrum. Some of our puppies have gone into training for gluten detection and as hearing dogs as well!
 
Placement of our puppies is very important to us. We want them to grow and blossom into the perfect companion and helper that they can be.

Puppies will be ready for their permanent homes on November 27th. (**If you are out of state and plan on flying in to get your puppy, most airlines require puppies be under 20lbs and fit in a carrier that goes under the seat. Our puppies most likely will be over the weight limit at that time, so we can arrange a different send home date if necessary.)

We will be having a litter of puppies due on October 1! This is a repeat breeding of our CaerCreek Ravenheart at Casa de Oro and Ch GCHB Amer/Intl Ch Spirithawk's Pacino's Fame. 
The last litter was super successful in placing potential service dogs, that we decided to go one more time. Seven out of 10 puppies are currently in training as psychiatric service dogs, gluten detection, autism, and medical alert dogs!
