Life in the time of Covid

Well, here we are in month 7? of this pandemic. Stay at home orders, masks, going crazy when you shop, going crazy when you are away from family and friends. It's a VERY good thing I have my lovely dogs here to help me survive this. Did you know that when you pet a dog, your heart rate slows, your blood pressure drops, Oxytocin is released (making you  feel better) and Serotonin is inhibited (easing anxiety). All the good feels. I have 5 little therapists here helping me get along every day. I wish you all did as well. I wish I could get the pups out to the people so that they could help them cope as well. But we can't. Even trying to socialize Baby Joy has been difficult and will always have an impact on how she looks at the world. 
We are lucky to have gotten some support from our donors, friends and family in a socially distanced way! We just got a donation of 4 beautiful x-pens (fences/cages) that we are able to section off another area for maintaining the dogs and the facilities. We also have gotten some donated time for upkeep of the yards. This is a BIG deal, so thank you to Gabe Kohler and to Rudy Lopez and Ted Northcutt!
I have taken on some new clients for training as we can socially distance with the dogs. These visits will help keep us in kibble for now. 
We haven't been able to get out in the community to fundraise either, so we are looking to find new ways of doing that. We are selling dog themed face masks on this site and at our Etsy shop - fullmoondog. So take a look at those spots. You can also support us at smile.amazon.com.
What would REALY help us out would be a monthly donation to help support the dogs. As little as $10 a month, (or more!) donated though this website helps with our food, bedding, and most importantly, our vet bills. We have Starry coming up for a breeding, Raven with her final hip exam, Sophie just had a spay. Tucker has been evaluated and is ready to be a dad when Raven is ready! Lots happening soon. We could sure use the support. Thanks for being here for use, even though we can't see you just yet!
