I had posted that we would have some exciting news this week and we certainly did! but there was bad news as well. We were hoping to hear the Starry had finally conceived and we would be expecting a litter. However, it was not to be. We did everything EXACTLY right, dates, many, many tests, many vet visits, Artificial Insemination and no pups on the ultrasound. Even our reproductive specialist, Dr. Bruce Christensen, was at a loss as to why this happened. I am devastated as she is the daughter of my dear Skye who's pedigree goes back to my first dog I bred in the early 90's. We will try one more time next year, but she will be done after that.
Now for the GOOD news~
As some of you probably saw we have been working on our puppy room/space and this morning we heard that we received a grant from the Home Depot Foundation to help with that! We are So So Excited! Now we will be able to put in a dog door, a wash station, flooring and so much more! Our first grant!
One door closes and a window opens. We are so grateful for your support and patience while we get our breeding program back on track. I will be offering therapy dog training in the coming months while we remodel and regroup for a new litter.
